Receivables Accountant

Job Purpose:

To ensure the integrity of accounting information by researching account issues for compliance and by establishing quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.

 

Job Dimensions:

Direct report(s) – none.

 

Tasks & Responsibilities:

• Consistently manage the processing of invoices, follow up on, collect and allocate payments.
• Ensure all incoming supplier invoices are audited with the agreed price list/contracts/quotes and advise for timely payment.
• Responsible for timely billing for the assigned trips:
  • Fuel Trips within two days from the service dates
  • Non-Fuel Trips within five days from the service dates
• Carry out billing based on the contractual agreements and reporting activities according to specific deadlines.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and customers.
• Research and resolve accounts issues with suppliers and customers. Escalate to account supervisors/team leader in case of any unresolved issues.
• Performing duties in compliance company and department policies and procedures, internal controls requirements.
• Preparing ad hoc financial reporting request, other analysis and special projects as requested by management.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

Skills (practiced capability/behaviors)

• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles
• Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
• Knowledge of electronic spreadsheets
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Excellent standard of written and spoken English, Ukrainian and Russian

Experience:

• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
• Knowledge of the airline/aviation industry (desirable)

Qualification:

• Degree in finance or accounting, or equivalent business experience
