Flight Oprations Controller

Job Purpose:

To be responsible in providing high standards operation services and others to Click Aviation Network’s customers. To ensure all operation services are coordinated effectively with all key stakeholders and vendors in line with the customer needs. To be accountable and responsible to Flight Operations Supervisor for all matters pertinent to the daily running of the operation according to Click Aviation Network rules and regulations in line with the approval of authorities and responsibilities assigned.

 

Principal Accountabilites:

  • Controls and delivers effectively both air and ground operations services for customers, while ensuring regulatory compliance and avoidance in any flight disruptions in:
    •  obtaining over flight & landing clearances, PPRs and slots
    • coordinating effectively with GHA, fuel, catering, hotel and transportation suppliers/vendors for smooth handling of customer’s flights
  • Handles and responds to customer requests, accurately, resourcefully and tactfully.
  • Prepares and types reports, orders, and schedules/movements pertaining to flight/aviation operations and flight/aviation safety.
  • Compiles, prepares, and distributes correspondence to relevant departments, such as flight operations reports and flight/aviation quality control reports.
  • Ensures that all operation activities provided to customers are achieved in compliance with Click Aviation Network corporate safety and security regulations, local laws, CAA and ICAO rules, regulations and standard operating procedures.
  • Communicate with Click Aviation Headquarters and ensure all services arranged are coordinated appropriately and efficiently.
  • Consistently refers to and applies the aviation operations files and records:
    • AIC (Aeronautical Information circulars)
    • ANO (Air Navigation Orders) and Regulations.
    • Company Operations Manuals
    • Operational Notifications
    • AIP/AIS
  • Influences the decisions of all operational units to enhance and improve performance in order to meet standards set.
  • Produces information and reports to management on a regular basis.
  • Represents Click Aviation Network externally and internally in the best interests of the company.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

Experience:

  • He/she must have at least 4 years experience working in an ad-hoc flight operations environment.
  • Good knowledge on ANO, AIC, IATA regulations such as ground handling, airport operations.
  • Proven experience of using aviation telecommunication systems AFTN and SITA-Tex.
  • Proven experience on flight planning systems such as Jeppesen, SITA etc. would be an added advantage.

Qualification:

  • Degree Graduate.
  • Flight dispatcher/operations or equivalent aviation training.
  • Licensed flight dispatcher would be an advantage.
  • Dangerous goods certificate (desirable).
